# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes like an indulgent café drink but costs a fraction of the price and takes ten minutes flat.
  • The natural berry color is so vibrant you won't believe it's just fruit and juice, no artificial dyes anywhere.
  • It's naturally vegan and dairy-free, so you can serve it to literally anyone without worrying about restrictions.
02 -
  • If you use açaí powder instead of purée, sift it first or whisk it with a little juice before adding to the shaker, otherwise you'll have grainy streaks throughout the drink.
  • The carton coconut milk matters more than you'd think; canned coconut milk makes this taste heavy and tropical rather than light and refreshing, which defeats the whole purpose.
03 -
  • Prepare your shake ingredients in advance on hot days by keeping the freeze-dried strawberries, açaí, and juice in the fridge, then you can shake and serve in under five minutes when guests arrive.
  • If your açaí purée packet isn't fully thawed, run it under warm water for a minute; partially frozen açaí creates lumps that never fully blend no matter how hard you shake.
