# How To Make It:

01 - Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels. Coat evenly with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
02 - Place the seasoned pork shoulder into the slow cooker.
03 - Whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce in a mixing bowl until fully combined.
04 - Pour the prepared sauce over the pork. Scatter peach slices on top and around the pork.
05 - Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is exceptionally tender and shreds easily.
06 - Transfer pork from the slow cooker. Use two forks to shred it.
07 - Skim excess fat from the sauce if necessary. Return shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix thoroughly with sauce and peaches.
08 - Serve hot on buns, over rice, or alongside your preferred accompaniments.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The sweet and tangy sauce feels like a secret shortcut to smoky BBQ flavor, without hours over a grill.
  • You can throw everything in the crockpot and walk away, which made it a favorite on days I want easy hosting.
02 -
  • If you rush the cooking time, the pork may not shred easily—patience is key for fork-tender results.
  • Skimming fat from the sauce before mixing back in keeps it from feeling greasy and lets the sweetness shine.
03 -
  • Don’t drain all the sauce before serving—let some pool around the pork for tenderness.
  • Adding extra fresh peach slices at the end gives bursts of flavor and color.
